Trenton Municipal Utilities will flush fire hydrants Wednesday through Friday.
Work will begin in the area located from U. S. Highway 65 east to the city limits and will include the Trenton Lake area. Flushing will take place from 7:30 in the morning to 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
TMU reports customers can expect discolored water and air in their house services. Customers are advised to use caution when doing laundry. TMU notes that over the next few weeks, it will be necessary to run the tap water until it is clear and to not do laundry until the water clears.
System flushing is required annually with the testing of fire hydrants helping to update fire protection records.
