Due to the possibility of those attending various events in northern Missouri being exposed to the Coronavirus, many organizations are taking precautions to reduce exposure risks. To that end, three organizations have either canceled or moved events to another date.

The North Central Missouri College Ag Club Contest next Thursday, March 19th has been canceled in compliance with precautionary measures being taken due to the Coronavirus.

There are no plans to reschedule the event.

The Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce has postponed its annual banquet to May 1st in an effort to address concerns regarding the Coronavirus.  The banquet was originally planned on March 27th at the Ketcham Community Center on the North Central Missouri College campus in Trenton.

NCMC officials announced they will not hold in-person classes on campus through April 3rd, and they were looking at rescheduling other activities involving the gathering of large groups. As a result, Chamber officials decided to move the banquet.

The banquet schedule for May 1st is to remain the same with a social hour and meal, a program by speaker Doctor Tim Crowley, and recognition of the Pillars of the Community, Businesses of the Year, and Organization of the Year.  Reservations for the original date will be honored for the new date.

The Princeton Rotary Club has canceled it’s Youth Turkey Calling Contest and Outdoor Expo at the Princeton Elementary School on March 21st.

The gun drawing will now be held at the Rotary Club meeting at the Mercer County Senior Center on March 24th at 12:30.
