Three Trenton residents sustained injuries when a sports utility vehicle overturned five miles south of Jamesport Friday night.

The driver, 20-year-old David Stark, was transported by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care with serious injuries. Passengers in the vehicle, 23-year-old Sean Pruitt and 17-year-old Cassie Stark, were transported by ambulance to Hedrick Medical Center. Pruitt’s injuries were described as moderate, and Stark’s were considered minor.

The SUV traveled south on Highway 190 before the driver reportedly failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle. The SUV ran off the east side of the road and struck an embankment before overturning and coming to rest on the east side of Highway 190 on its wheels.

The vehicle was totaled and the patrol notes the driver and passengers did not wear seat belts.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the crash.
