The Highway Patrol reports three Green Castle residents sustained minor injuries when one pickup truck hit another in Green City Tuesday morning.
Forty-nine-year-old Glendetta Sizemore and 48-year-old Kelli Straley traveled west on Missouri 6 when Sizemore stopped to make a left turn. Straley’s truck struck Sizemore’s in the rear, causing extensive damage to Straley’s truck and moderate damage to Sizemore’s.
A private vehicle transported Straley to the Sullivan County Memorial Hospital in Milan. Sizemore and her husband, 54-year-old Jackie Sizemore, were treated at the scene.
The Patrol reports Straley wore a seat belt at the time of the accident, while the Sizemores did not.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department and the Green City Rural Fire Department assisted at the scene.
