The highway patrol reports three people from Caldwell County were killed, including the driver, when a fiery crash occurred Tuesday afternoon in rural Ray County.
Pronounced dead at the scene were 24-year-old Kara Frisch of Polo, 26-year-old Andrew Fleming of Polo, and 42-year-old Bradley Ahart of Kingston.
Kara Frisch was driving eastbound on Ray County Route D when the car went off the right side of the road and overturned. Authorities said the car struck a tree and caught fire.
It was unknown whether any of the occupants were using a seat belt. The highway patrol received assistance from several troopers, the Ray County Sheriff’s Department and Ray County Coroner.
