A shuttle bus will be available to transport individuals to see the restoration at the Thompson House near Trenton during Missouri Day Festival weekend.

Thompson House spokesperson Gary Dolan says Anna Persell will drive the bus from the parking lot of Crowder State Park to the Thompson House as weather permits the afternoons of October 20th and 21st from 1 to 4 o’clock. Dolan explains the purpose of the restoration is to restore history noting the house tells the story of immigrants who came from Europe to the United States and made it to Missouri.

The history of the house will be displayed on signage and there will also be a genealogy chart on display. Dolan says the funds and volunteers needed to complete the Thompson House restoration are in place. He expects restoration on the Thompson House to be finished this year.

Anyone wanting to see the Thompson House can also get to it from a walking trail at Crowder State Park.
