Teenager injured in crash after striking bridge rail

A teenage girl from Conception Junction was injured yesterday afternoon when the car she was driving traveled off U.S. 136 in Gentry County, struck a bridge rail, before coming to a stop blocking the westbound lane for awhile. 

The car was demolished in the 3:25 Monday accident two miles to the west of Stanberry.

The highway patrol said 17-year-old Jessica Hutson was taken by private vehicle to Saint Francis Medical Center in Maryville with moderate injuries.

The report indicated she was not wearing a seat belt.
