The Assistance League for the Veterans Home in Cameron invites the public to attend the first ever Taste of Jazz and Country to benefit Cameron VA nursing home, veteran residents.

The event will begin with a jazz group performance at the Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch of Kearney June 7th from 6 to 10 o’clock. The country band Big Time Grain Company will play while auctions are underway. Tickets are available for purchase online at THIS LINK for $20.00.

Auction items include vacation spots for one week, one at a house on a beachfront in the Bahamas, and the other in Destin, Florida, and an autographed signature jersey from National Basketball Association player Lebron James. There will also be raffle items, food, and beverages.

Auction and raffle items are being accepted. Raffle items with a value of 50 to 250 dollars will be displayed before Taste of Jazz and Country. Auction items worth $250 or more will have their sponsor announced on stage when being auctioned.

Sponsors also include a supporting level for $500 and a presenting level for $1,000, both of which will receive a combination of free tickets, promotional signs, and announcements.

Veterans Home Assistance League Chairman Gary Summers says the funds raised June 7th will go to provide all wheelchair accessible vans at the home to transport residents for doctors appointments and activities as well as other items.
