Laredo R-7 enrollment down from a year ago
Laredo R-7 School District began classes Tuesday with fewer students enrolled than first-day enrollment last year. Laredo’s first-day enrollment for kindergarten through seventh grade was 41 students which is down seven from a year ago. The largest grade is sixth with eight students and Kindergarten is the smallest grade with two students enrolled.
Laredo Aldermen sets tax levy
The Laredo Board of Aldermen set its tax levy at a hearing Monday. The tax rate totals $.9912 per $100 of assessed valuation compared to last year’s rate which was $1 per $100 of assessed valuation. The rate includes the general fund and the special street fund.
