Two meetings in Chillicothe postponed
The Chillicothe Historic Preservation Commission meeting scheduled for January 18th has been canceled due to illness. City Clerk Roze Frampton reports the meeting will be rescheduled for a later date. Nuisance hearings scheduled for January 19th have been postponed until the February 16th hearing date. Notices of the change will be mailed this week.
Unionville woman arrested by patrol
The Highway Patrol reports the arrest of a Unionville woman in Putnam County the night of January 17th on multiple allegations. Thirty-six-year-old Rachel Gilbert was accused of felony possession of the controlled substance methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and no seat belt. She was taken to the Putnam County Jail before being released.
Mercer County Sheriff recovers stolen U-Haul truck
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department reports that on Friday evening, January 14, 2022, it recovered a U-Haul truck in Mercer County that was reported to have been stolen from Kirksville. A report was to be submitted to the Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney for review.
