A felony charge has been dismissed in Division One of Grundy County Circuit Court for a Kansas City man. Court information shows 33-year-old Javier Hernandez’s charge of non-support—total arrears in excess of 12 monthly payments due under an order of support was dismissed Wednesday. The non-support charge was from May 2017.
Mercer County Spelling Bee winner announced
Princeton R-5 student Emma Walkup has won the Mercer County Spelling Bee and earned a spot at the Regional Spelling Bee in Saint Joseph. Walkup correctly spelled the word docile in Round 8 of the Mercer County Bee and then won by spelling courteous in Round 9.

Voting equipment to be tested in Livingston County
Automatic absentee voting equipment will be tested at the Livingston County Courthouse in Chillicothe next week. Representatives of political parties, news media, candidates, and the public are invited to attend the testing Tuesday morning, February 19 at 10 o’clock.
