The special election issue in Sullivan County was defeated by a two to one margin yesterday.
The raw vote on the road rock tax question shows 316 in favor but 639 against which is only 33 percent support.
The issue involved a proposal to impose a tax on agricultural or horticultural property not to exceed $1.00 per acre.
