Trenton High School Key Club in partnership with FCCLA and Jewett Norris Library will host a Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the library on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19.

Children in preschool through first grade are invited to bring a stuffed animal or doll to the Hoover Theater on Friday the 19 at 7:30 pm. Participants will read a bedtime story, enjoy a snack, and receive a sleeping bag for the stuffed animal. While children are tucking in their animals, Deb Young, a literacy expert, will give parents tips to promote reading at home. Werthen Gass will share information about NomNom ReadRead, a YouTube channel that provides books for children and parents.

Children and parents will return to Hoover Theater on Saturday morning at 9:00 am to pick up their stuffed animals, watch a movie about the stuffed animals’ night of adventures in the library, receive a book, and visit the children’s library.

Participants must return a registration form and $5 to their school office by Friday, November 11th. This event is limited to the first 50 children. Registration forms were sent home from school with the children and can be found on the Trenton R-9 website and at the Jewett Norris Library. Please call Kara Helmandollar at 359-5966 with questions.
