Storm spotter training is scheduled Thursday, March 3rd at Chillicothe with Andy Bailey of the National Weather Service at Pleasant Hill to conduct the program at 7 o’clock, at the Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Fire Chief Darrell Wright, reports the city of Chillicothe will participate in the annual statewide tornado drill the afternoon of March 15th at 1:30. Storm sirens and a text caster system will be tested. Wright indicated it’s a good time to review what to do in a weather related emergency. He encourages persons to have a flashlight, non-perishable food items, weather radio, first aid kit, and a list of all medications.

Live weather updates are available on local radio stations, with other avenues of weather information available from Livingston County Emergency Management, as well as the Chillicothe Fire Department on Twitter and Facebook.
