State Emergency Management Agency to offer series in Chillicothe

The State Emergency Management Agency will provide an Advanced Professional Series Course in Chillicothe next month.

An Emergency Operations Center Management and Operations course will be held in the Chillicothe Fire Department Training Room June 12th and 13th from 8 o’clock in the morning to 5 o’clock in the evening each day.

The course will provide participants will the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and operate an Emergency Operations Center during a crisis situation. The course will cover properly locating and designing an Emergency Operations Center; how to staff, train, and brief personnel; and how to operate the center during various situations.

State and local individuals responsible for developing, staffing, managing, and operating an Emergency Operations Center, as well as other staff members, are encouraged to attend. The course will be open to the public.
