Stanberry resident injured in Highway 136 accident

A Stanberry resident received minor injuries in a two-car accident at Stanberry late Friday afternoon, July 1st.

74-year-old Merna Reynolds was transported to Northwest Medical Center in Albany.

Ms. Reynolds was a passenger in a car driven by 18-year-old Caress Straight of Stanberry who was not reported hurt.

The other driver, 26-year old Nicole Powers of Bethany also was not reported hurt.

The accident occurred on Highway 136 at Albany as Ms. Straight was westbound and Ms. Powers was traveling east when the car driven by Ms. Powers turned into the path of the other vehicle.

Damage was listed as moderate to the car driven by Nicole Powers and minor to the other vehicle.

All three persons were wearing seatbelts.
