A single-vehicle accident one mile west of Brimson injured a St. Joseph resident.
Twenty-nine-year-old Kristopher Fowler received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany.
A state trooper reports the sports utility vehicle was eastbound when it traveled off the south side of Highway 146 and a struck a highway sign. Fowler overcorrected with the vehicle returning to the roadway before traveling off the north side where it went into a ditch and overturned. The SUV came to rest on top of a barbed wire fence.
Fowler was not using a seat belt and damage to the SUV was classified as extensive in the Sunday morning crash.
