Adam Criblez, a sports historian, will present a program titled Why Sports History Matters: Tales from the Heartland at 3:30 on Saturday at the Grundy County Museum.
Dr. Criblez is an Associate Professor in the Department of History and Anthropology at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and Sports History is a specialty. One of his recent books is entitled Tall Tales and Short Shorts: Dr. J, Pistol Pete, and the Birth of the Modern NBA.
Admission Fees are suspended during this final weekend for the museum’s 2018 feature exhibit, Hometown Teams – Sports in Grundy County. All museum buildings will be open 1:30 – 4:30p.
