Spickard resident injured after car strikes deer on Highway 65

A Spickard resident received a minor injury this morning when the car she was driving collided with a deer, on southbound Highway 65, two miles south of Spickard.

Thirty-six-year-old Britney Lockhart was taken by ambulance to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.

The highway patrol reports she was wearing a seat belt when the accident happened after 8 o’clock on Monday morning. Damage to the car was reported as moderate.
