Spickard Board of Aldermen approves ordinance regarding burn bans

The Spickard Board of Aldermen approved a new ordinance regarding burn bans at its meeting Monday evening.

The ordinance implements a burn ban in the Spickard city limits when a burn ban is issued in Grundy County. Permission was granted for the fire department to charge violators $500 for fire equipment and apparatus and $100 per man hour.

The Department of Natural Resources extension was approved to November 9th. The sewer operator is to provide information as requested by the DNR report regarding shutoffs, construction, and the new operating plant status.

An invoice was received for boom mower repair and there will be a follow up with the insurance company to see if a claim can be filed.

Kristie Martin was introduced as the new city clerk and secretary.
