Several waive preliminary hearings in latest session of Grundy County court

Preliminary hearings were waived during Tuesday’s session of the Grundy County Circuit Court – Associate Division.

The cases were bound over to a future date in Division One of the Circuit Court at the courthouse in Trenton.

Among them are defendants facing felony charges of nonsupport of a minor child. The separate cases involve 28-year-old Travis Williams of Princeton, 35-year-old Timothy Stubbs of Kansas City, and 36-year-old Peter Ulberg of Sweet Springs.

Others who waived a preliminary hearing include 56-year-old Janice Sue Wynne of Trenton who is charged with possession of a controlled substance on October 19th; and 20-year-old Raven Price of Trenton who faces charges of possession of marijuana with alleged intent to distribute, deliver, or sell it on December 5.

Arrests made by police on November 12 resulted in felony charges filed against two brothers who appear in court yesterday. A preliminary hearing was waived by 19-year-old Tanner Scott Ward of Cameron who’s charged with unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. His cases have been added to the docket for tomorrows’ session in Division One of the Circuit Court.

23-year-old Tyler Clayton Ward of Trenton is scheduled back in associate circuit court next month, on January 24 to hold a preliminary hearing, or waive it, on four charges: unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, tampering with physical evidence and resisting arrest.
