Several domestic disturbance/abuse assaults investigated by Chillicothe Police Department

Officers received a report of theft in the 600 block of Clay Street. Investigation continues.

Officers assisted the Livingston County Children’s Division with a child abuse investigation in the 400 block of Mack Street.  

 Officers arrested Jessie Brasel for driving without a license, no insurance, and failing to secure child in a proper safety seat following a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Washington Street.   Brasel was processed at the police department, cited, and released.

Officers arrested William Johnson for driving while revoked following a traffic stop at Easton Street and Mechanic Street. Johnson was processed at the police department, cited, and released.

Officers received a delayed report of a domestic assault that occurred in the parking lot of a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.   The investigation continues.

Officers took a subject into custody per a court order and transported that subject to a facility in St. Joseph for treatment.

Officers arrested Michael Gott for domestic assault in the 400 block of Walnut Street. Gott was processed at the police department and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Frederick Street. Officers reported the incident to be verbal in nature and no arrests were made.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Commercial Street.   Officers, at the direction of the Livingston County Juvenile Office, took a juvenile into custody and transported that juvenile to the Livingston County Juvenile’s Office.

Officers received a report of trespassing in the 1100 block of Clay Street. As a result of the investigation, Officers arrested Kimberly Watkins for trespassing.   Watkins was processed at the police department, cited, and released.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Clay Street. Officers reported the incident to be verbal in nature and no arrests were made.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of First Street to a report of a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, Officers arrested Travis Shaw for possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence. Shaw was processed at the police department and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.

Officers responded to a one vehicle accident on East Jackson Street at Paul Street and reported a vehicle driven by Donald Hert was traveling westbound on Jackson Street and drive off the left side of the roadway striking a utility pole.  

Major damage was reported to the vehicle and the utility pole.

As a result of the investigation, Officers arrested Donald Hert for driving while intoxicated, failing to drive on the right half of the roadway, no insurance, failing to properly restrain a child in a safety seat, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hert was transported to Hedrick Medical Center by the Chillicothe Police Department for the treatment of his minor injuries and the juvenile passenger was transported to Hedrick Medical Center by the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services for the treatment of minor injuries.

Hert was processed at the police department and transferred to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
