Senator Roy Blunt to speak in Trenton

Prior to making an appearance in Trenton Tuesday, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt will be in Kansas City where he speaks at 9:30 in the morning at the Metropolitan Community College. His appearance there is in the student enrollment center on Southwest Trafficway.

Senator Blunt is scheduled to be at Cross Hall at North Central Missouri College in Trenton Tuesday afternoon at 1:30.

In both appearances, Senator Blunt is to discuss Pell grants that college students receive from the federal government. He’s expected to address college affordability and completion with students, educators, administrators, and the general public.

Blunt, a Republican, is chairman of the Senate appropriations subcommittee that funds the U.S. Department of Education.
