Second NCMC Presidential Candidate to interview, meet with public, on Tuesday

The second finalist interviewing for the position of president of North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Dr. Lenny Klaver, will be on the Trenton campus on Tuesday, March 29. 

Members of the public are invited to meet Dr. Klaver at an Open Forum set for 3:30 till 4:30 p.m. in the Cross Hall Coffee Shop on the NCMC campus.  They may bring questions or discussion items for Dr. Klaver, and will have an opportunity to provide written comments of their impressions of Dr. Klaver’s strengths and weaknesses as related to the position.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Dr. Klaver is currently the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Finlandia University in Hancock, Michigan, serving the college since 2013.  Prior to joining Finlandia, he served as a tenured faculty member, Chair of the Health, Exercise Science and Sports Management Department, and finally, Vice Chancellor for University Relations and Advancement at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin (1996-2013).  Dr. Klaver also served as the Legislative Liaison for UW-Parkside, communicating regularly with local, state and federal elected officials.  Prior to his position in Wisconsin, he was a tenured faculty member/coach/athletic director at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.

Klaver earned an Associate in Arts Degree from Iowa Central Community College, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Wayne State College, and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.  He is a rural Iowa native.
