The Friends of Gallatin will host Scare on the Square Saturday, October 28.

The event will be held on the Gallatin Square starting with trunk or treat set up from 2 to 3 o’clock that afternoon. Trick or treating, games, and other activities will be held from 3 to 5 o’clock.

A costume contest will start at 5:30 with costume contest categories to include different age groups, couples, families, and pets. The costs is $1.oo for every category entered.

Pumpkins for a pumpkin contest can be delivered to the Daviess County Courthouse lawn through Saturday. The pumpkin contest and trunk judging will start at 7 o’clock.

Bethany Vandiver will help host the event with Kate Chrisman and the Friends of Gallatin.  She says anyone wishing to have a vehicle in the trunk or treat can register online by clicking HERE.  Grand and Market Streets will be closed during the Scare on the Square, so children and their families can participate safely.

Vandiver adds that the movie that had been planned to be shown on the square after dark has been canceled due to the cold temperatures forecast for Saturday.

More information on the event can be found on the Gallatin Scare on the Square Facebook page.
