The Salvation Army based in Chillicothe will start bell ringing and collecting for its Christmas kettles next month.

Case Manager Lynda Snuffer says bell ringing will begin at the Hy-Vee and Shopko in Trenton as well as at the Hy-Vee and Sliced Bread Market in Chillicothe November 13th. Bell ringing will begin at the Walmart in Chillicothe November 24th.

Snuffer says the Christmas kettles will be out at those locations from 10 o’clock in the morning to 6 o’clock in the evening daily, except for Thanksgiving and Sundays and notes the funds raised will be used directly in Grundy and Livingston counties.

She encourages anyone interested in volunteering to call the Salvation Army office at 660-646-3538 to sign up.

Individuals or groups can sign up for an hour or a day at any of the locations in Trenton or Chillicothe.
