Salisbury man ejected from SUV causing serious injuries

A Salisbury man was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving overturned off highway 129 south of Salisbury, ejecting him from the vehicle.

47-year-old Billy Parker was flown by medical helicopter to University Hospital at Columbia with serious injuries.

The accident happened late Saturday afternoon four miles south of Salisbury on Highway 129, as the SUV was southbound, when it ran off the right side of the road and overturned several times, demolishing the vehicle.

Parker was not wearing a seat belt.
