Ryan Ward from Waynesville, Missouri, has been selected as North Central Missouri College’s Outstanding Student for April. Ryan is an A+ student, receiving his Associate in Arts transfer degree from NCMC. After Ryan graduates from NCMC this May, he is looking at Columbia College, or other possible schools to continue to play basketball.

Ryan is involved on campus with several groups including Men’s Basketball, Phi Theta Kappa, and a Student Support Services (SSS) tutor. “NCMC was an affordable choice for me to start my education,” said Ryan. “I like the small class sizes and the opportunity to play basketball.”

Ryan went on to say, “I’ve made a lot of friends at NCMC “One of my favorite things about NCMC would have to be meeting my roommate Chance Edwards. We have been roommates for two years now, and it’s been great. I also enjoy hanging out with the basketball guys.”

When asked about his favorite classes, Ryan responded, “Sarah Bird classes; right now I’m in Entrepreneurship. Mrs. Bird is really helpful and will talk to you about anything you’re going through in life.”

Each month, a student is nominated by a faculty or staff member to be featured as an Outstanding Student based on their dedication to educational success, attitude toward learning, and hard work in their field and activities.
