Located just south of the DeKalb and Gentry County line on Route A, the North Fork, Lost Creek Bridge has been serving motorists since 1935.

Plans have been announced to close that portion of Route A to all traffic as of Monday, March 16, 2020. The old bridge will be demolished and a new one constructed. The 85-year-old bridge replacement will be led by crews from the Boone Construction Company.

The DeKalb County Route A bridge, near the community of Fairport, is included in Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program passed by the Missouri General Assembly. A total of $50 million in state general revenue was appropriated to fund 45 high priority bridge projects throughout the state.

Route A will be closed from mid-March through June with motorists using an alternate route during the closure. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
