A man from Georgia was injured Monday night in a single-vehicle rollover accident approximately two miles west of Winston.
The highway patrol reports 24-year-old Walter Calhoun of Decatur, Georgia received minor injuries in the Interstate 35 accident in Daviess County. He was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
Calhouns’ southbound car had exited I-35 at mile marker 61 when the car crossed over both lanes of U-S 69, traveled off the west side of the road, down an embankment where it overturned, landing on its top.
Extensive damage was noted for the car. Calhoun was using a seat belt when the accident happened at 8:15 Monday night.
