A temporary road closure in connection with a wind farm project in western DeKalb County has been delayed by 24 hours.
The Missouri Department of Transportation reports that Highway 6 will be closed at Ogle Road (seven miles west of Maysville) on Saturday night at 8 o’clock. The closure is expected to last no more than four hours.
The closure was originally planned for tonight (Friday night) at 8 o’clock, but was postponed by the contractor on Thursday morning.
Large cranes used by a contractor will be moving across various roads in DeKalb County during the upcoming weeks. The roads to experience periodic closings are Highways 6 and 31, in addition to Routes J and N.
Each of the towers being transported require multiple, slow-moving oversized loads. Law enforcement will assist in escorting the equipment to the tower location.
