A Ridgeway resident was injured on Thursday when the pickup she was driving traveled off Highway 69 in Harrison County and overturned when it struck an embankment five miles north of Bethany.

Twenty-two-year-old Brittany Jennings received minor injuries and declined treatment at the scene but told officers she would seek medical attention later.

The pickup was southbound when it crossed the center line, went off the east side, hit an embankment, and overturned onto its passenger side in the middle of Highway 69.

The vehicle was reported as having extensive damage and Jennings was wearing a seat belt.

Assistance at the scene of the crash was provided by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and Bethany Police.
