The Missouri Public Service Commission approved an agreement in a case filed by the Middlefork Water Company, which authorizes the company to increase annual water operating revenues by $60,154.

The increase of 19.39% will go into effect January 1st.

Middlefork sought a rate increase, citing increases in operational costs, such as utility insurance, chemicals, and labor. It is the first water rate increase for Middlefork since 2011. The staff of the Public Service Commission, Middlefork, and the Office of the Public Counsel submitted the agreement.

The Middlefork Water Company provides wholesale water services to the cities of Stanberry and Grant City.
