The Putnam County Ministerial Alliance is once again sponsoring the Project Santa Claus program this year.

The program is designed to assist low-income and disadvantaged families in having a brighter Christmas.

The Ministerial Alliance in Putnam County says that while most of us take Christmas trees and gifts for granted, there are families that have little to nothing. Christmas time is a time to celebrate the birth Christ and a time of sharing and caring for others.

Any donations by businesses, organizations, churches or clubs would be greatly appreciated as there are many families in need.

Any needy family may pick up and fill out a consent form from The Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry, Putnam County Family Support Division, Putnam County Health Department and the Putnam County Head Start. All applications need to be turned in by November 15.

If an organization or individual would like to adopt a family for Christmas, they may contact Debbie at 660-216-2563 or Diana at 660-216-2569 for more information.

The Ministerial Alliance is asking that all donations be turned in by December 17, which will give them the time needed to ensure that all gifts are delivered and ready for Christmas.
