Pumpkin decorating contest winners were announced Thursday night at the Missouri Day Festival opening ceremonies.
Winning first place was Martha Jackson of Galt, second went to the entry from Delbert Jackson of Galt and third was a pumpkin entered by John Michaels of Trenton.
For the business and organization category, first place went to the Trenton R-9 school district and the student group Future Business Leaders of America.
Coloring contest winners also were announced in the grades of pre-school through 4th. Also recognized were coloring contest winners among residents of the Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments.
