Another activity has been announced for the Hometown Independence Day celebration July 3rd in Princeton. There will be a tractor cruise starting at 2 o’clock.
The group will leave from the city barn; then return to the Princeton school campus for evening activities. More information on the tractor cruise can be obtained from Dewayne Demoss or Dewayne Place.
Princeton High school Alumni will hold the all-school reunion at 5:30 pm in the Stacy multi-purpose center. The Stacy center will provide a meal of barbecue pork patties, hot dogs with all the trimmings from 6 until 8 o’clock (or until gone) Eat and pay what you want for the meal.
Beginning at 8 o’clock, candidates in the August primary election may speak to the crowd. If you would like to give a short speech that night, contact Kelly Bertrand at Princeton. In between speakers, music will be provided by local singers and Stephanie’s Dance Studio performers. Free watermelon and fireworks will start at dark.
Money for entertainment is provided by the city council through band tax money.
Funds to provide the watermelon and fireworks show is provided by the Mercer County Recreation District board through the county’s recreation tax.
