The Princeton City Council has scheduled a special meeting in two weeks regarding the budget and selected a date next month for the spring cleanup.

According to City Clerk Denette Snapp, the budget meeting will be held at 4:30 the afternoon of April 27th. At that time, three members of the Princeton council are to be sworn in for their new terms following last weeks’ election.

Spring cleanup day is set for Saturday, May 6th. The city will have a dumpster located that day at the city maintenance barn. Officials said the dumpster is for use by only the residents of Princeton. May 6th also is the date at Princeton for city-wide garage sales.

Among other information from last nights’ meeting of the Princeton City Council, it was decided to send letters to citizens with tall grass in their yards reminding them of the need to keep it mowed. Letters also are to be sent to Princeton citizens considered to have unkempt property.

The council issued a building permit to Casey Francis for a project at her residence on College Avenue.
