Two girls from Polo were taken to the Liberty Hospital last night following a single vehicle accident approximately five miles to the west of Polo at the intersection of Ore Road and Reno Drive
The highway patrol listed injuries as minor for 18-year-old Sondra Sumpter and 17-year-old Abigail Walker.
According to the highway patrol report, a sports utility vehicle driven by Miss Sumpter was southbound when it apparently failed to negotiate a wide intersection, went off the south side and struck a utility pole.
Vehicle damage was extensive and both girls were using seat belts.
