A teenager from Polo was injured Sunday night when the westbound car she was driving, went off the south side of U-S 36, struck a ditch and came to a stop in the median.
Eighteen-year-old Makenzie Garrett received minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing a seat belt when the accident happened at 6:10 pm Sunday, one mile west of Stewartsville.
The car received extensive damage in the crash, and the Stewartsville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
