A man from Polo was injured late last night in a single vehicle accident six miles to the west of Polo. Twenty-five-year-old Collin Correll received moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Correll was using a seat belt.
Correll was eastbound when the pickup he was driving traveled off the south side of Highway 116, the driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to go off the opposite (north) side where it struck two trees coming to a stop upright. The pickup was demolished in the wreck just before midnight.
Assisting the highway patrol were the Caldwell and Clinton County Sheriff’s Departments.
