Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approves district’s insurance and trash removal service

The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approved providers for the district’s insurance and trash removal service on the evening of December 8th. The Missouri United School Insurance Council will be the insurance provider. WCA of Chillicothe will be the trash removal service provider.

The board also approved the 2019-2020 financial audit and the Title 9 Policy and a bid on a drain tile project was discussed, but no action was taken.

Superintendent Rebecca Steinhoff gave a COVID-19 attendance update. As of the evening of December 8th, only one preschooler and one kindergarten through eighth-grade student were on quarantine.

School board filings will take place from December 15th through January 19th at 4 o’clock. The terms of Jack Bethards and Jennifer Belvel will expire.

There will be an early out for Pleasant View on December 18th and no school until January 4th. There is also an early out January 15th and no school January 19th.

In an executive session, the board hired Cassie Shoop to do some evening janitorial duties.
