The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approved a bid on Thursday evening to replace light bulbs in the school building with LED bulbs. The bid was from Cory Cutsinger for $11,975.26.
A student request was approved to hold a Christmas dance for fifth through eighth graders December 6th and invite students in the fifth through eighth grades at Laredo R-7 and Grundy R-5.
The oath of office was given to new board member Ben Thomas, who fills a vacancy on the board. His term will expire in April 2020.
Superintendent Rebecca Steinhoff reported November 26th will be an early out for Pleasant View, and school will not be in session November 27th through 29th.
Janet Lake’s preschool through eighth grade Christmas program will be December 13th, the Early Childhood Special Education Chrismas program will be December 17th, and there will be an early out December 20th.
