The Pleasant View R-6 Board of Education approved an appointment for a district program coordinator at its meeting Tuesday evening.
Superintendent Rebecca Steinhoff was appointed as the District Program Coordinator for Wellness, Foster Care, English Language Learners, Migrant, and Homeless.
The board also approved several Missouri School Boards Association updates.
First-grade teacher Cassie Cordray gave an update on the Wonders reading program.
Fifth through eighth grade English language arts teacher Kylie Davis gave an update on her classes as well as the school’s Missouri Day parade float.
In a closed session, the board approved the district to hire a school counselor one day a week.
