Plattsburg woman crashes on Highway 36; accused of DWI

A Plattsburg resident was hurt when the sports utility vehicle she was driving went off eastbound Highway 36, through the median, across the westbound lanes, and hit an embankment west of Stewartsville.

Forty-eight-year-old Nancy Peery was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with minor injuries.

The patrol accused her of felony driving while intoxicated/chronic offender, failure to drive within a single lane on a road, no proof of insurance, not wearing a seat belt, and failure to display valid plates.

The accident happened Saturday night three miles west of Stewartsville on highway 36 with damage to the SUV was listed as moderate.
