Plans are being made for the annual “Festival of Trees” one month from now.

The festival is scheduled for November 23rd which is the day after Thanksgiving. The evening includes many activities such as a parade, musical entertainment, a public auction, food, and holiday activities.  Entries are needed for the Christmas Parade which will begin at 4:30 that day.

The Trenton Rock Barn opens at 5 o’clock. Plans call for entertainment and other activities that are scheduled to be announced later. Visitors will have an opportunity to view decorated trees, wreaths, and baskets that will be sold in an auction.

Individuals, families, businesses, and organizations who wish to have an entry in the Christmas parade and/or plan to donate to the auction may contact Brenda Thorne at 654-0218 or Judie Leininger at 359-5123, both in Trenton. Both report they really appreciate all the time, work, and imagination that goes into making Festival of Trees a success.

Money raised at the November 23rd event goes to the Gifted Group which is a self-advocacy special needs program as well as to Trenton Heroes which involves athletes with special needs participating in sports and other activities.
