Pavement improvements are scheduled to begin this month for a section of U.S. Route 69 in Harrison County.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, contractors working with the Missouri Department of Transportation will close one lane of U.S. Route 69. The road will be narrowed in approximately two miles sections between the Iowa state line and Route M near Eagleville throughout the duration of the project. First, contractor crews will patch the road surface in preparation for the project. The patching process is expected to take four working days. Once the patching is completed the old road surface will be milled off. On Monday, October 24, 2016, resurfacing is scheduled to begin.

Motorists can expect delays as a pilot car will be used to guide them through the work zone. Please pay attention to all flaggers and signs. If accessing U.S. Route 69 from a side road, please wait for the pilot car before proceeding onto U.S. Route 69. The contractor plans to complete the project by mid-November.
