The highway patrol reports several arrests around the area over the weekend.
A twenty-four-year-old resident of Chicago, Illinois, Daquan Pierce, was arrested about 11 o’clock Sunday night on Interstate 35 in Daviess County. He’s been accused of speeding 104 miles an hour in a 70 zone as well as felony, illegal use of a card scanner. Pierce was taken on a 24-hour hold to the Daviess DeKalb county regional jail.
A Bethany resident, 55-year-old Allen Bennett, was arrested in Clinton County and faces multiple allegations. Bennett is accused of possession of methamphetamine; driving while intoxicated, drugs involved; unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding 91 miles an hour in a 70 zone on Interstate 35. Bennett was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Clinton County Jail.
A resident of Salina, Kansas was taken into custody in Harrison County. 40-year-old Omarr Lindsey is accused of driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain to the right half of the roadway, and no valid driver’s license. Lindsey was placed on a 24-hour hold at the law enforcement center in Bethany.
