Boy and Girl Scouts from Trenton completed their scouting for food drive on Saturday involving the residential areas of Trenton.

Scout Master Dean Sager reported collections of 1,560 pounds of non-perishable food items, paper products, and personal hygiene products, all to be donated to the Grundy county food pantry. Sager said the total is slightly below the average amount collected during the past three years.

The scouts of Trenton expressed their appreciation to the residents for their support of the community service project.
