A Kansas City man died as the result of a tractor-trailer truck accident in Carroll County Monday morning.
The Highway Patrol reports 43-year-old Matthew Vignere’s body was transported to Frontier Forensics.
The truck traveled east on Highway 10 when it ran off the right side of the road about one-half of a mile east of County Road 121. Vignere reportedly overcorrected, which caused the vehicle to return to the road, overturn, and skid off the right side of the road before striking an embankment and coming to rest. The Patrol reports the driver wore a seat belt.
This is the 27th fatal crash and 32nd fatality investigated by Troop A this year.
