NWS schedules severe weather discussions across northern Missouri

The National Weather Service has scheduled several more severe weather talks at various locations before the end of this month.

The sessions have been listed for Lathrop, Richmond, Keytesville, Gallatin, Macon, and Carrollton. All sessions begin at 7 o’clock in

the evening and are scheduled for a two hour period.

Specifically, severe weather presentations and information on storm safety are scheduled at the following locations and dates:

Wednesday March 23rd at the Goppert Community Center in Lathrop.

Thursday March 24th : at the Farris Theater in Richmond.

Monday March 28th : at the Keytesville Fire Department.

Tuesday March 29th : at the Dockery Park community building in Gallatin.

Wednesday March 30th : at the Crossroads Christian Church in Macon.

Thursday March 31st : at the Carrollton Fire Department.

Information will be presented on topics such as how to visually identify severe storm features, and how to report observed severe weather; and storm spotter safety. The free class is for people who wish to become more involved with severe storm spotting while assisting local officials and the National Weather Service in keeping a community safe from severe storms.
